Just needed to update the picture

Mostly so that I could remind myself that I am still happy and going strong even though this is my 65th birthday this year!!!

IT'S A BOY!!

After having 4, nearing 5, wonderful little granddaughters, we heard from Becky that they are indeed expecting a son the first week of December! Needless to say, Grandma has hit all the D I's between Cedar and Orem in order to start laying in supplies for a male child. After I got it all back to the cabin I realized this child had better advance to 3 months quickly. That is the size of the majority of stuff I was able to get.

We will gladly accept name suggestions. I am wondering if this baby will have more of a Charles coloring and look since Audrey turned out to be so like her mother (except for Charles' winning, beautiful smile!)

The Oldy Austins reune with the Youngy Austins

The girls wanted to be sure that baby Tara would get to be featured in one of the photos too!
Nathan got swung like this by HIS father when he was the same age!

Dancing with "Dumpah"
Colleen's sister Annette got married in Provo on July 18th so Nathan and the girls were all down from Idaho for thatevent. Figured we could certainly come up and meet them half way. What a joy they are. Colleen is due to birth Tara abt. Aug 20th, but still barely looks pregnant.

Big day in the big city (Cedar City, that is)

Had tickets to two Shakespeare events at the Cedar City festival. No Shakespeare this year for us: Saw "Foxfire" and "Secret Garden," both of which were very well done.

We also had the satisfaction of accomplishing a lot while in town. Finally got my laptop checked so we could get wireless internet on it again and he solved the sluggishness problems! (We also finally have internet up at the cabin, by the way, so we are not quite so out of communication).

4th of July

We were immensely patriotic at the cabin with 6 flags out, a swag and lights on the deck and this window size lighted unit from our west window

Grandkids at the cabin

Aly brought her bunny to help Grandpa have nice afternoon naps.

And that was OK as long as SHE was happy to share! Which she mostly was.

Becky, Charles and Audrey were with us for the 4th of July. Audrey got her first corn on the cob, her first fireworks experience (in Panguitch) and was here for the annual rip roaring 4th of July cloudburst!

We have been here most of June and July with occasional visits out into civilization. Having the little people up here to watch the humming bird wars and enjoy the deck has just been the best!

Peter and Jill and Aly were here just AFTER the July 4th weekend. Aly and Peter loved the hammock. Well, at least most of the time!
