If you open the back door from the house...or from the garage, this is what you will see. (I guess we don't need to worry about anyone breaking in from that direction for another several months!) What you are seeing is the snow bank...but the white area at the top in each photo is not sky...it is the ice sheet overhang which also is there making a complete wall!

APRIL CONFERENCE RETURN TO THE CABIN...and to another season!!!

The snow up Cedar Canyon is still incredibly deep. We managed to head up here before the next projected storm front but still had our share of weird, ghostly, wind snow blow across the highway. Though the days are bearable up here and the afternoons warm up enough to melt some, the snow is still so deep there are a lot of things on the property that inaccessible by foot! Nathan would have loved to be here to snow shoe around all over!

The snowmelt off the north side of the roof has created this massive snowbank along the whole length of the cabin....complete with ice tunnel and ice stalagmites and stalactites! I can barely see out the kitchen window.

This is the scene from our front porch on April Fools Day! We had another 3-4 inches of snow overnight. It was the oddest Christmas feeling when we got up this morning! 8 degrees! And to think that the Taylors are insufferably hot down in San Felipe, Mexico!! And Spring has officially arrived in Las Vegas and Roses are blooming everywhere!!
